    ニュー・ジャック特有のハネた硬質ビートに、「ジャン！」というオーケストラのサンプリング音、耳に残りやすいキャッチーなメロディ・ライン——これ以上何が必要か、というくらい無敵のダンス・サウンドを展開、代表曲「エヴリ・リトル・ステップ」をはじめとした数々のヒットをかっ飛ばしたのだった。92年には、90年代のヒップホップ／R&Bシーンにおいて双璧をなすサウンド・プロダクション、テディ・ライリーとベイビーフェイスを迎え３rdアルバム『BOBBY』を発表。アグレッシヴなダンス・チューンと共に、同年、結婚したホイットニー・ヒューストンとのデュエット「サムシング・イン・コモン」（超名曲）を披露、２人のアツアツ振りを見せつけた。
