ブルース・コバーンはカナダで30年のキャリアを誇るスター。言葉を自在に操るシンガー・ソングライターとして、何度もアメリカのミュージック・シーンでヒットを飛ばしている。79年に「ワンダリング・ウェア・ザ・ライオンズ・アー」でベビー・ブーム世代を夢中にさせ、「イフ・アイ・ハッド・ア・ロケット・ランチャー」ではMTVやAOR系のラジオ局でヘビー・ローテーション入りを果たす。また、「コール・イット・デモクラシー」ではオルタナティヴ・ロック世代を魅了した。彼のアルバムにはいずれも絶妙な構成が施され、アルバム中２曲は彼の素晴らしい音楽的才能を実証する名シングル曲が収録されている。ルシンダ・ウィリアムスやアニ・ディフランコ、そしてＴボーン・バーネットらはブルース・コバーンの熱烈なファンであり、３人とも一度はコバーンと一緒にレコーディングを行っている。まさに、コバーンにふさわしい一流の共演者たちと言えるだろう。
