    ボン・ジョヴィ協力のもと、91年にアルバム『ファイアーハウス』でデビューしたノースキャロライナ州、シャーロット出身の４人組。90年代初頭のハード・ロック・ファンなら一度は「オール・シー・ロート」のスウィート・メロディに心躍らされたはずだ。エッジの効いたシンプルなギター・サウンドで、大衆ロックの模範とでもいうべきキャッチーなメロディをもつドラマチックな曲を展開（まんま“ボン・ジョヴィ”という意見もあるが）。C.J.スネア（vo）のつぶらな瞳とくるくるパーマの長髪といったヴィジュアルも相まってアメリカのみならず、日本でも人気を博す。
    メタル・バブル後期に登場したバンドということもありシーンの冷え込みと共に90年代半ばに活動休止する時期もあったが、『３』（1995）『Ｏ2』（2000）『プライム・タイム』（2003）と定期的にアルバムをリリース、ツアー・バンドとしても高い評価を得ており、アメリカン・ハードロックの最後の牙城として今だ現役を貫く不屈のハードロック・バンドといえるだろう。
