Ned's Atomic Dustbinネッズ・アトミック・ダストビン
マッドチェスター・ムーヴメントもかつての勢いを失い、そしてブリット・ポップ前夜の90年代初頭——ジーザス・ジョーンズ、EMFらと共に大活躍したアッパー系UKギターロック・バンド。キメのシャウトがカッコいい「キル・ユア・テレヴィジョン」、言わずと知れたベイ・シティ・ローラーズのカヴァー「サタデイ・ナイト」など数多くのクラブ・ヒットを有する。２本ベースから生みだされるエッジの効いたタテのりビート、メンバーが醸し出すロンドン発クラブ・カルチャー的なオシャレ感とが相乗効果となり、日本、とくに東京サブカル系ロック・シーンにおいて、異常なほどの盛りあがりを見せていたようだ。また、何十種類もある通称“ネッズＴシャツ”は、ロック・ファンにとってある種のステイタスに——。田舎のロック小僧（自分含む）にとっては少々敷居が高い存在だったのではないか（回想）。
