カウンティング・クロウズを彷彿とさせる、アーシーでスケールの大きなアメリカン・ロックを展開。ザックリとしたギター・サウンドが中心だが、随所でマンドリンやスライド・ギターを挿入し、カントリーやブルースなどへの深い憧憬をあらわにする。
メジャー・デビュー作であり２ndの『ドロップス・オブ・ジュピター』（01年）では、プロデューサーに売れっ子のブレンダン・オブライエンを立て、ポップ・フィールドにも十分アピールするルーツ・ロックを呈示した。日本だと受け入れられにくい音楽性ではあるが、乾き切った大陸的サウンドは実に爽快。開放感をもたらしてくれるだろう。
